Cost Effectiveness of Eviction Prevention Programs

The objectives of this research study included documenting the costs to landlords, tenants and social services agencies resulting from eviction, as well as examining the costs and factors leading to success or failure of programs and services that help prevent evictions. The primary question addressed by the study was: How do the different approaches to eviction prevention in Canada compare to each other in terms of costs and effectiveness, and how do the costs of these different approaches compare to the costs of eviction?
