The Canadian Housing and Renewal Association’s 45th Annual National Congress on Housing and Homelessness takes place April 30 – May 3, 2013 in Ottawa. The Congress brings together approximately 400 delegates as the must-attend event for housing practitioners, decision-makers, policy experts and the next generation of housing leaders and advocates in Canada. New to the 2013 CHRA Congress is the CHRA Emerging Professional Research Colloquium. This 2.5 hour session will take place as part of Congress, in the afternoon of May 1, 2013. It is an opportunity for graduate students and other professionals under the age of 30 doing research work to present their housing-related research to a national audience. Interested applicants are asked to submit a short abstract (400 words maximum) describing the research by December 1, 2012. Abstracts will be reviewed by a CHRA selection committee. Selected applicants will be notified by December 10, 2012. At that time, specific time allotments will be provided. It is envisioned that presentations will be around 15 minutes. Note that this session is conditional to sufficient interest. To submit an abstract or with questions, please contact Cheryl Ripley, Program Officer:
613-594-3007 x 10 or cripley@chra-achru.ca
